Simone (Lafrance) Quesnel

C’est avec une grande tristesse que nous vous annonçons le décès de Simone Quesnel (née Lafrance), décédée le 22 février 2023, à l'âge de 78 ans.

Elle était l’épouse bien-aimée de Claude Quesnel.

Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Alain Quesnel (Dorothy vanDongen), Martine Quesnel (Pierre Thibault) et Jérôme Quesnel (Catherine Cantin); ses petits-enfants Jodie (Michael), Mathieu (Shanny-Ann), Danielle, Samuel (Chloé) et Marie-Claude; et son arrière-petite-fille Madelyn. 

Elle laisse aussi dans le deuil son frère Alphonse Lafrance (Huguette); ses sœurs Rachelle Cayer (Gaston) et Carmen Paquette; ainsi que plusieurs belles-sœurs, beaux-frères, neveux, nièces, ami(e)s, et ses anciens clients de Crysler Home Hardware. 

Elle fut prédécédée par ses parents Arthur et Irène (née Burelle) Lafrance; sa sœur Cécile Lafrance; et ses frères Marcel Lafrance (Yvette) et Richard Lafrance.

La famille recevra les sympathies au centre communautaire de Crysler, 16 rue Third, Crysler le vendredi 10 mars 2023 de 18h00 à 21h00 et à l’Église Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire, 23 rue Queen, Crysler le samedi 11 mars 2023 de 10h00 à 11h00, suivi d'une cérémonie religieuse à 11h00 et une réception au centre communautaire de Crysler. Inhumation au cimetière Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire à une date ultérieure.

La famille tient à remercier les membres du personnel de l’unité des soins complexes continus à l'Hôpital Mémorial de Winchester pour leur excellents soins et compassion.

She was the beloved wife of Claude Quesnel.

She is survived by her children Alain Quesnel (Dorothy vanDongen), Martine Quesnel (Pierre Thibault) and Jérôme Quesnel (Catherine Cantin); her grandchildren Jodie (Michael), Mathieu (Shanny-Ann), Danielle, Samuel (Chloé) and Marie-Claude; and her great-granddaughter Madelyn.

She is also survived by her brother Alphonse Lafrance (Huguette); her sisters Rachelle Cayer (Gaston) and Carmen Paquette; as well as many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, friends, and her former customers at Crysler Home Hardware.

She was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Irène (née Burelle) Lafrance; her sister Cécile Lafrance; and her brothers Marcel Lafrance (Yvette) and Richard Lafrance.

The family will receive condolences at the Crysler Community Center, 16 Third St, Crysler on Friday, March 10, 2023 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 23 Queen St, Crysler, on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 10:00  to 11:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. and a reception at the Crysler Community Center. Interment at Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire Cemetery at a later date.

The family would like to thank the staff at the complex continuing care unit at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital for their excellent care and compassion.
